Establishing a Virtuous Cycle Through Resource Circulation Activities with Employee-Donated Items

To raise awareness about resource circulation and encourage environmental action in daily life, CJ ENM fosters various eco-friendly efforts and campaigns with our employees.

In 2024, CJ ENM produced two types of upcycled merchandise using employee-donated denim jeans and launched the Employee Reusable Cup Campaign.


Although denim jeans are familiar items found in everyones closet, their manufacturing and incineration processes emit more carbon than other garments. Through collaboration with the denim upcycling brand KISHIHI, CJ ENM transformed 150 pairs of donated jeans into cup sleeves and wireless earphone cases, gaining strong support for promoting resource circulation.

 

Some of the upcycled goods were distributed to attendees at <KCON LA 2024>, thereby expanding awareness about the value of resource circulation and encouraging participation in CJ ENMs environmental initiatives. In addition, to help employees reduce the use of disposable products at work and develop the habit of using tumblers, the company distributed upcycled cup sleeves to all participants in the reusable cup campaign.

 

In 2025, CJ ENM collected unused plastic toys from employees to create 'tvN Jeulming Upcycling Keyrings'. Some of the completed recycled plastic keyrings were used for employee volunteer activities and also utilized as prizes for SNS events commemorating World Environment Day in June, working to spread eco-friendly awareness and the importance of resource circulation together with viewers.

 

CJ ENM will continue to focus on eco-friendly initiatives, fostering sustainable lifestyles through employee participation and efforts, and actively contributing to solving environmental issues.
